Don't know where to start. I'll start here. My wife's grandfather was on of the Barber brothers that started Barber Engine in Syracuse, NY in the late 1800's. I like to learn more about them. I actually just got a call that one, I believe a single cylinder, is available to me. I'd like to get it. Are there any good references on this company? Are these motors valuable? As I said I'm just getting started. Thanks Walt

Walter,

Welcome!

You should start by using the "search" link above and search this board for the word barber. You will find there are quite a lot of posts and pictures of barber engines.

I mailed Walt Photo-copies of Barber engine catalogs-his wife's relative was Franklin Barber. It's pretty cool to hear from decendents of these company founders we cherish in our hobby.
