I have found out that the engine I was asking about is a 2 cylinder Roberts. It has a single cylinder head that covers both cylinders and looks to be from the 1920's. Would appreciate any site that I could go to to get more info. on this engine. Thanks Bob

Yes it looks quite similuar to the picture. Is this 2 cycle? Is there a place to obtain more info. I collect and show Hit and Miss engines but the only boat engine that I've owned was a Hicks 8 1/2hp. Below is an engine that I will be showing Sat. Bob

1922 Stover 22hp 1007ci

E.w. Robertson was probably the most prolific marine engine designer, manufacturer, writer etc of his time at the turn of the century through the 1930's.

The late teens through the 1920's the 4 cycle marine engines with the less expensive and readily available Ford replacement parts was quite the rage and Roberston developed some of first, his Company also mfgrd kits to marinize automobile engines.

photos of the engine your looking at would help
get more specific info if possible ? I'll look and see other info I can find .
