I have a 6 HP 550 Rev No PA3859 I bought a new cylinder, head, exhaust manifold from Joe Holm 5 years ago, Thanks Joe, I am now restoring it and was what all the info on this Engine, I think there is one part missing, What keeps the timmer from spinning round and round, What is the oil level in the trans and Engine, Does it use the same oil, Valve ajustment,

Ray, your engine interests me because I have not heard of a 4 stroke Australian Record marine engine. The only one found in my research was the 2 stroke built by Becker Engineering in the 1950's.
As you mention a timer, your engine must be quite old.
Any further information and a photo would be greatly appreciated.
