Remington makes a lot of firearms but I never heard of them making engines. Is it the same company?

Wifes grandparents had a stationary Remington on their farm north of Binghamton NY-sold privately when the estate was raided by a relative. I didn't know it was a Utica manufacturer-thanks for the info. Looks like an asperating style carb used by Wonder and Barber engine companies of the era
