i have a small engine, one cyl, two stroke, jump spark, the only mark on it, is A inside of a circle and its not very large, i sure would like to id the maker, i have more pictures, if someone would need them. its painted green |

I am looking for a gearbox ( F, N, R, )for my blaxland twin, at present it has a dog clutch and it is a dog of a thing joke .Can anyone andvise of suitable box to mate to the blaxland twin.Hope some one can help

Quinton, There are gearboxes 'about' to suit the Blaxland twins. I recall seeing some info on earlier posts under 'blaxland' and I have had one on a boat I had about 20 plus years ago. They are not that common and they do take a bit of power out of the motor, but I have to ask what that problem with your dog clutch is? They are usually very reliable and simple to maintain. They will slip if over oiled and tend to stick if under oiled. What is the correct oil? I'm sure others will have clearer advice but I suggest - only oil when it starts to get 'sticky' nd then only a few drops of 90 grade oil. |
