I am looking for informaiton on Bridgeport engines. Would like to find out the age or approx age of a Model 30 Number 2586A engine.

I don't know much about Bridgeport engines but I do know that I can throw a little more confusion into the mix. I have seen a U.S. Motors, aka Falcon, ACE OK, Sears Motorgo with the Bridgeport tag and it clearly was original to the engine. I don't know what the relactionship between US Motors and Bridgeport was but there was some sort of marketing arrangement. It would therefore be helpful to see a photo of the Bridgeport.

Bridgeport did a lot of advertising. They always used the slogon The Motor That Motes.
Here is an ad from a 1912 issue of MotorBoat (the image of the engine is not very clear in the original either).
