A while back I posted some pictures of a very old Gray Marine Twin I was able to pick up.
It was in pieces, with a plastic bag of nuts, bolts, and what appeared to be a remade timer in a box with the pistons, rods, and wrist pins.
No pump was included, also no intake manifold, although I did get the exhaust manifold with it.
I'm doing a dry run at reassembly now, and noticed right off that I'm apparently missing whatever goes on the aft end of the crank to make contact with the timer.
After looking at old Dubrie engines, I think that may have been who made this one.
Could anyone look at the pictures, and tell me or post a picture of the timer setup?
Would appreciate it very much.

Thanks, Tmann

Have you done a search for Gray twins here already? Lots of info on Gray engines posted in the past, including photos.

Robert, thanks for the reply.
I have looked at all of the Gray/Dubrie information I've been able to find, and so far have only seen a similar timer on a posting by ernie from back in 2013.
Can't zoom in enough to see what exactly makes contact with the timer spring, but would imagine that it's a two lobed cam?
Am I right in thinking that the cylinders should fire exactly opposite each at TDC, give or take a couple of degrees?
The timer spring has a bend in it, but not straight across. It's at a slight angle, and I'm thinking that that's to advance/retard the timing when the timer is moved.
This is my first double cylinder marine engine, so appreciate any information/advice, or pictures of a similar set up.

Tmann
