I have a Stewart Marine 8hp the question.Are Stewrat Turners and Stewart Marine the same manufacturer.

Should be STUART TURNER.

Sidney Marmaduke Stuart Turner built his first model engine in 1899 and was building full size engines by 1906.

Stuart Turner is still in business, and has a history page on their site.

Fairways Marine in the UK handle Stuart (Turner) marine engine parts. They have similar history on their Stuart Turner page together with a good picture of an engine http://www.fairwaysmarine.com/

If you confirm that it is an ST then there is a lot of information available online with some links available in other messages posted on this site - just do a keyword search.
