Give Gilbert Plumb in CT a try. He is copying a M-6 service manual for me now. That is from around the same time, he also said he had other manuals too.

He can be reached at (860)767-7351

I have a 1946 Ace M6 in a Gar Wood Ensign and the operating instruction manual for it. Is there a more detailed manual? I would really like a shop repair manual if one exists. I would be glad to make copies of the operating manual if it would help anyone.

I am rebuilding a revers/reduction gearbox for an old Ace that a customer had dropped off in boxes. The needle bearings are missing from the reverse gears. Does anyone have a spec/part number for these, or a set that I can buy? Timken Bearing says they can supply them if I can give them specs. Thanks.

If you can mike the bearing housing and shaft I would think a good bearing shop could cross reference the bearing. I would be surprised if the bearing was a needle bearing though considering the age of the gear box.
