Hi new to this board, I trying to find blue prints and spec docs for the liberty v12 and it's other cousins.
What is the crankshaft length and offsets?

There is a fair amount of information out there on the Liberty engine. She is a 5" bore by 7" stroke as designed.

The Smithsonian put out a good book on the Liberty several years back. There are a couple copies on EBAY now. Here is one of them: http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Liberty-Engine-1918-1942-By-P-S-Dickey-III-National- Air-Space-Smithsonian-/181818685859?hash=item2a553cf9a3

The late (my friend) Robert Neal wrote the best book on the Liberty in 2009: "A Technical & Operational History of the Liberty Engine". Are you just doing research or do you have one and are planning to restore it?

So very sorry to hear of Mr. Neal's passing. I had a few phone tlks with him in the past. His books are treasured here. I've built many V 12s and Su8s. Mr. Neal was an incredible Packard engine historian. A great loss. David

Hi Peter,

The Liberty V-12 crankshaft is about 65 inches long. It depends on the application as to the actual length of the crank snout (aircraft prop end).
