I have a 6.354 serial #354UX887HT. What should high idle rpm be and under load rpm should be. Also what is the hp rating on this engine.

Thank you for your help

Looks like a serial no for the horizontal turbo. Does the engine appear canted over to one side? Max rpm should be 2400. I set mine to idle at about 600 as this allows me to potter along the River Thames at tickover without doing evil things to the speed limit of 4.5 knots.

Note that the X in your engine number means that it is a contra rotating engine. Max HP should be 145 but some of those horses may have gone out to graze:-) Given that my engines are 354U1666HT and 354U1669HT yours may be older, mine left the factory in 1969.
