Hi guys & girls, first post here. Looking for a bit of info on an issue in our new (old) boat. It has, what I think is 2 x 4-53 Detroit diesel 2 stroke motors.

It doesn't seem to be holding fuel pressure, and it wont idle/run at low RPM. The fuel rail pressure gauge seems to be getting to 5 max (the other motor runs at 15-20), and will randomly drop to 0 and the motor will die. I cant seem to figure it out.

Has anyone had this issue? also, where is the pressure sender on these motors?

Any help would be terrificly appreciated

You probably have a Fuel/Water Seprator Filter plugged, mounted someware prior to the engine, on the fuel line form your fuel tanks,..the Container is full of water and won't let enough fuel through..or a Plugged Primary or Secondary Fuel Filters on your engine,..last try would be a worn out Fuel Pump...I have one of these Engines/Used in stock.
