G,day all,l have a pair of perkins single cyl. diesels, one is stationary & the other is marine with it's gear box, my question is can anyone shed some light on the age,hp,availability of parts etc. or any other info. these engines have lD. plates showing "perkins 1.36m made in Germany" no s/n's also the gearbox has the no,s 30/40 embossed on the housing, both engines are green. I believe that they are actually Farymanns. I suspect that what you have is an A30.

G,day Nobby, thanks for your response to my question, re. farymann a30, l believe it came out of a timber ex life saving boat built in the 1930,s, 22 ft. made of New Zealand kauri which l purchased 2 yrs.ago, also thanks for the info re. these engines. One quest! can one still get parts for these? Cheers Jim

Perkins will no doubt be of little help to you. Were I you I'd contact Farymann and see what they have to say about it as this will be most likely your only hope for parts.
