I have a mid 60's Graymarine 4-75. It has a capital gear clutch that slips in forward gear...the lever fails to 'snap' into place. I have tried tightening the drawbolt on the clutch to the point of stripping the bolt, but no help. Anyone else had to deal with this

Problem Solved. The clutch drum is actually in two parts. The inner drum is threaded and forward gear can be adjusted by loosening the drawbolt across the face of the inner drum and screwing it clockwise into the outer drum, then retightening the drawbolt.
