Hi there........

A friend has a 1929 Kermath 6 cyl 12 plug engine that was removed from his chris craft runabout. He has asked me to nose around a bit and eventually get it into my garage and see about getting it to run. It appears to be in pretty good shape and won't require tear down much beyond maybe the head to check the valve train. My quest is to gain as much information as possible so that once I get it into my shop I can be somewhat comfortable. Any Kermath guru's out there??? Thank you in advance for any advice.

Bruce,
Check with the wooden boat shop just west of Hessel. They might be able to help There is a person living in Montana that has some relation to the Kermath family but it will take some time for me to locate the name. Email me if you would like me to prusue this.
