Hi Again

Work is progressing slowly on my p55m now, looks like i will restore it to running reliably, dont know if i will use it in the boat yet. Has anyone got any documentation for the engine and gearbox. Owners and maintenance manuals would be great but i'm guessing they no longer exist.

I have discovered a few things on the way so far, mine has a solex carb and a lucas 6ca breaker set but i'd like to feed it the right oils and setup the gearbox/carb as best i can, or at least discover if something isn't functioning right.

I also need to get plugs and coils has anyone found these engines have a preference, also HT leads and caps. i'm guessing the modern equivalents dont work as well as the older originals.

Thanks for any help you can offer
Paul

Hi Paul,
I seem to have most of the instructions and manuals for the P55ME and P66 along with a few revised spares catalogues etc. If you need a particular instruction or picture I could scan them in.

Thanks for the reply Mark, been offline a while sorry :-(

I could do with a user manual to start with that would at least explain what the various bits do or dont as the case maybe.

many thanks again
Paul

Hi Paul,
Send me an email via my website with your address, I'll stick a CD in the post for you. The agreement is, if you are in another country, then you make a copy and pass it on to whoever wants them. They are in a scanned printable tiff format of the original pages, because some of the pages are yellowing, the scanner thinks they are colour, I have only done the P5/P55 ones as yet. [email protected]

Cheers
Mark
