Now have running a Stuart P5, that was obtained as a two crates of bits (one and a half engines). Is missing the magneto.
Has original Bronze Stuart carb. This tends to gulp fuel. Now fitted with a Delorto type 20-18 carb (lawnmower)- push pump/choke and coil ignition, using a contact unit constructed to look like magneto.
New main bearings and oilseals fitted.
Also the cast iron exhaust pot was cracked. Constructed replacement out of stainless steel tubing and brazing up to same measurements as originals. Photos availible. Thinking of selling. Have spare reversing gearbox and stuart carb.
