I'm installing a 1950's 4cyd 40hp engine in my boat which is supposed to be turn-key and ready to go. I believe its 12volt but I see no charging system (gen/alt). Does the starter also have provisions to charge the battery? The neg cable is grounded to the engine and the positive one is attached to the starter, all wires seem to be accounted for?...Thanks
