Does anyone know of an alternative spark plug to the Champion 25? I don't get much more than about 10-20 hours before they start breaking down.

If you can find an American made 25 you will do alright.
The ones you buy now from repco, bursons, etc are
made in Mexico and are totally unreliable,in fact
I congratulate you on getting as many hours as you do.
I use Champion N21's or NGK B4ES's with an adaptor,
ie brass reducer.The plugs last,they are a 1/15th
of the price, and you dont end up stopping when
navigating a particularly treacherous bar etc .
KLG used to do a plug that was the same as a 25.
also Ford Motorcraft F11 plugs are the same

we make them from 1/2 inch bsp fittings available
from plumbing supply outlets, then drilling and tapping a 14mm thread to suit the new style plug
