I have a small Blaxland single that is surplus to my abilities to restore (too many engines already with a regular twin and single plus at least one Stuart Turner under the bench).

Pics attached of the engine plus a regular Blaxland for comparison.

This engine is not in good condition but should be restorable. It will a magneto and water pump but the carburettor is there.

Is there anyone interested in swapping this engine for a single cylinder magneto (to complete my other engine)?

The enginne is located in Paynesville in Gippslamd Victoria but I can crate it up and arrange freight (cost negotiable).

I did bid but my only justification would have been to pick it up for the cost of a magneto or rebuild as the one on my ST spent a year submerged before I got it. Has been a trying experience to rebuild the engine but mostly there now.

If I had got the e-bay one I could have either delayed the rebuild or junked it altogether as I only need one ST for my collection (the first yacht I sailed on had a ST so there is nostalgia involved).

Don't know what limit the eventual winner had on his bids but mine was capped at $355 and got gazumped by his, but he may have gone higher.

just have to look harder for a ST magneto, not urgent as i want to get the Blaxland Twin running first.

Hi Rob,
I sent you a separate email about the blaxland.
I was lucky enough to win the ST. It came with
almost a complete spare engine in bits so I should
be able to keep it going for a while.
Tim.
