What about this one. Just the bare bones are there, but again I suspect that someone might be able to identify the exhaust manifold cast as one piece with the cylinder. There is a plug at the base of the exhaust can be swapped to allow the exhaust to be piped either to the front or the rear. It would be nice if we could find out what the flywheel might have looked like.

The head looks as if it is not cooled with the waterjacket. It might be a so-called hot-head kerosene engine, low compression.

The four head bolts, widely spaced, also indicate low compression.

Dunno when kerosene engine went out of fashion in the marine engine market, but it was early on.

I hadn't thought of that, but it is a dry head. It could be fairly early with the old square-head bolts around the base. It looks like the head nuts have been replaced.
