I'm not convinced that this one was built for marine purposes, but I'll give it a try here. Maybe automotive?

There are a lot of similarities to the Beaver engines shown in the BYB Volume 1 & 2. However, a lot of differences as well including manifold arrangement, carb location, water pump, engine mounting points, etc.
