Not wanting to get into an argument over painting or not painting, but what type of paint is best for a running display engine? I now have 2 engines that I am restoring, both engines have been stripped back to bare metal, and ready to paint. Also looking for advice on what undercoat/primer.

I use Plastikote engine paint with no primer. Holds up very well and is easy to apply.

Here is an engine I painted in 1996 and it still looks this way in 2013
