I live in Prince Rupert BC Canada. I am not sure where theses cylinders were found, but they were in among some stuff that my son had in a shed in our back yard. He probably found them on the beach around the coastline here. Prince Rupert is on the north coast of BC, next stop Alaska. We found these old engine parts when we cleaned out his shed.

I just found this web site and have spent a long time reading messages and looking at the comments from others.

I have a 1913 Lozier automobile and have been looking for a Lozier marine engine.

What you have here are a cople of cyclinders for a Cadillac automobile. I am guessing they are for a four cylinder engine or 1909-14 vintage.

Mike,

I have a Lozier 2-1/2HP marine engine made in Toledo, Ohio (before they moved to Plattsburg).
There aren't too many Lozier marine engines around. A few owned by engine collectors, some in restored launches, and some in Museums. The Adirondak Museum in Blue Mountain Lake, NY has a beautiful 5HP engine in the launch "Eagles Nest".

Do the Lozier automobile engines have any similarity to the marine? Can you post a photo of your automobile engine?

Regards,
Andrew
