Does anyone have info or knowledge regarding this engine? The timer and waterpump are integral. The nameplate is on the timer cap. It is marked Waterman Model A, 4HP, Serial 291. I am trying find the year built as well as what carb was used. Any help would be great.

Would this be one of those fateful cylinders in which if the piston is pushed in too far the rings pop out over the lip at the top of the cylinder walls making the piston impossible to remove (in one piece)?
