Very Nice! Is that a 2HP engine? I'm trying to find myself one similar.

Looks like a fairly complete engine. Do you have the exhaust manifold for it? Also is that a Detroit Engine Works tag on it or another Companies name?

I think I just bought a Detroit Marine engine here in Australia. At least that is what I think it is. Most marine engines here seem to be Chapman, Blaxland or Simplex. I'll post a pic as soon as I can wrestle the big bastard out of the back of the ute. May need some guidance. Cheers.

I have just purchase a Detroit 2.5 hp fresh water one lunger outboard motor. I am trying to find the value of this. It turns and seems to be complete with kero tank and starter switch. Purchased from a home in blue hill Maine. If you can help me on the value I would appreciate it. thank you}

If you want to sell it on eBay you can do a search for similar past listings, or just list it with a fixed price and "best offer" option, then people will make offers - hopefully - and you will get an idea of what it is worth to potential buyers, which is the only true estimate of value there is.

Why do these people post in the forum wanting information and then never reply to anyone? Posted back in 2014 that's 3 or 4 years to reply and still nothing. Probably sold it I guess.
