I have an old circa. 1939(?) Penta inboard that was installed in a wooden catboat in 1980. The engine is 5.5hp Penta Model F12A and was made by Penta before they were acquired by Volvo. The engine runs fine and I have been using it to motor in and out of our marina when I go sailing. Does anyone know what this engine is worth? Should I take it out of the boat for full restoration/protection? I am not very mechanical, so would be interested in selling the motor to someone interested in preserving it.
