This might be a little off topic leaning towards machine tools, however there are a few photos of very large multi cylinder ship engines and parts. If you have not seen this before I think you will be amazed and find it very interesting.

Williams Doxford started his ship building business in 1840 from 1870 it was based in Pallion Sunderland on the river in Northeast England. The company stayed in business for well over 140 years with a few name and ownership changes. Closed down in 1988. Some readers may be interested to know that there were Doxford engines built under licence in Australia.
This was done by the Commonwealth Government Marine Engine Works, Melbourne, Victoria, a factory initially set up to build steam engines. A total of 16 were said to have been made, either from 1945 or 1949. I have seen both as the starting date.
