Poured two babbitt bearings for both ends of crankshaft with the help of good friend Lenny last night. Just thought others might be interested in seeing some pictures. Has turned into a big project and hope to have running for 2011 show season.

Nice work, the bearing looks good. First time I,ve seen a sleeve type bearing made of babbitt, most are bronze.

Thanks JB, Thats the original sleave in the first post and it has about 20 thousands play in it. It's also kind of soft, maybe has high lead. We used high tin based babbitt. Thats the base in the third picture to show what i'm working with and weights about 320lbs. Babbitt BearingsBabbitt BearingsBabbitt Bearings
