Can you please help me? I have a Volvo Penta MD2b and would like some information on propellor rotation in forward gear when viewing from rear. should it be right or left hand rotation?

Just start your engine and see which way the prop is turning in forward gear. Looking along the boat from the transom end if it turning clockwise then it is a right hand prop you require, if anti-clockwise then it is a left hand prop.. easy..

The rotation of the MD1B is clockwise when facing the flywheel so will therefore be turning anti-clockwise at the prop, but check this anyway as the MD1B has several gearboxes, each for different functions.e
