What is the number of turns the high speed adjustment needs to be turned out after being turned all the way in to a dead stop?

I just seem to be having a problem on any single adjustment.

What is the proper method in which to reach the optimum setting?

Ron, it depends on the model but I just adjusted my Zenith updraft carbs Sunday. My manual says two full turns out after it is turned all the way in. The idle adjustment is 1/2 turn. Hope this helps
