This engine is plated 1958. Probably correct. Is the silver exhaust elbow that attaches to the exhaust manifold designed to route exhaust water back into the elbow to prevent water from entering the engine? My manuals show some kind of plumbing set up to do this. I'm guessing that the silver metal (cast aluminum) elbow does that job instead. confirmation will be greatly appreciated. Mikeexhaust elbow
