Hello all,a complete newby request.

I'm looking at a boat plan from 1933. A 26 foot Englyn design by Harrison Butler. The designer specified a 6 hp Watermotor or Stuart Turner of similar power as an auxiliary but of course didn't give any weights.

I'm considering building this design and would need to substitute a modern available engine. I think my 20hp Bukh will be too heavy.

Could anyone give me an idea of the weight of either of the engines above ?

Pete
