Hello David

I'd also be interested in head gaskets for the R3M type engine.

I thought I better declare an interest to try and boost your customer base!

I was desperete to find a US source of old style compressible copper head and exhaust gaskets. I finally gave up ever finding a US source. I don't remember now how I found
www.gasketstogo.com John Baker in Thailand makes them . If you have a pattern to copy his prices are reasonalbe and the work of good quality. For the record I have no commercial or other interest in his business.

This company can supply good quality bearings at reasonable prices.

http://www.vintagebearings.co.uk/homepage.htm

The mains are RMS7, and the bearing on the output shaft is an RMS6.

I'm in the process of sourcing oil seals and will post again when I have more details.

Regards

Philip

Seals are available everywhere. I used these people. The mains are available and chap 1 1/4M type, but unsure about the quality.

or this one is cheaper
1.25x2x0.37 inch Single Lip Nitrile Rubber Metric
Big-end is more of a problem though.

Marlex Marine sold their spares, drawings and casting patterns to us this year.

We have moved the spares to our own storage and will be compiling stock lists as soon as we can.

Do to existing arrangements between one of our gasket suppliers and David Schofield we will be sourcing gasket replacements in the UK.

Once we have all the parts checked and catalogued we will post here again.

We also have the Stuart-Turner production day books, so can date engines from their serial number.

Peter
