Hi,

I have a R3MC in a small 12ft clinker. Had it running well last summer, and gave it a full winterise. However having successfully restarted her first time this weekend, she isnt pumping water through. The pump is doing its job in terms of movement, however it isnt passing water through.

Having opened the pump, there is a lot of grease inside. Is this meant to be there? nothing has ceased, its a puzzle.....?!

Any ideas as to why? Any help appreciated.

Chris

Have you primed it with water through the caps on top of the pump? Somtimes the non-return valves do not seat properly and the pump has trouble pumping air. Give it a drink and all may be fine.
