gentlemen,
i have a 5/7 that starts missing in the front cyl. when it gets hot.I have replaced leads and plugs(not cheap)but no happiness. I now believe the cyl. may be cracked and opening up and allowing water into the cyl when it is hot, has anybody had this problem before? and does it sound feasible?
If this is the case i will take it off and get it repaired or replaced.
cheers

You may have allready solved the problem at this late stage ,but sometimes a leaking water pump is the culprit, as water is sucked into the front sump
through worn bearings ,and this puts the fire out.
So now you have to tighten/refurbish the pump/gland
and reshim the crank. Not hard but time consuming
