Hi Guys, well its been a long time since we have checked in, still looks like there are guys getting dirty playing with Blaxland singles and twins, good to see the interest in these great little Aussie motors is still putt putting along!

Boyd has been busy in his workshop lovingly restoring many of them and also creating some which simply defy description as you will see in the following pics.

We are still happy to help anyone out where we can with advice, parts etc so please dont hesitate to shoot us an email. Sorry if you have been trying the old email address as it died when my system was down and had not logged into hotmail, hence the yahoo address that does not suffer the same problem. Rather then post us questions on the board it would be much better to email us or ring Boyd on 02 4369 2218.

The Blaxland Twin you are about to feast your eyes on is one very special little motor and a fine example of the work of Boyd The Blaxland Guru..! This is a BIG $$$ motor and you could expect to spend around $3,000 or more getting something like this built and you still need to supply a motor for the build up! It was built for a friend of ours for the 2003 Davistown Putt Putt Regatta and there was not another boat in the same class that could catch it even with a crew of 5 adults onboard!

A Blaxland owner will tell you that their boat will run on the smell of an oily rag, well this beast swallows, explodes and spits out approx 10 litres of High Octane Racing Fuel per hour..! As you will see, its not a very Traditional twin and the longer and harder you look at it you will see it is one very specially built motor and it would blow your mind if I went into details of the internals of it but we cant tell ya all our secrets.. hehehe

Hope you enjoy Boyds work..

What a great effort, I only hope that my effort at restoration looks half as good,

Ray

Hi Guys
I have just about completed the restoration of a 15 foot putt putt here in Sydney and am at the stage of fitting the motor. I notice my Blaxland twin, which I understand that Boyd did up a few years back, has 3/4 inch water inlet at the water pump and from the block to the muffler.

3/4 inch tube seems to be very large for this job or can I plumb the boat using 1/2 inch fittings and tubing. any help here would be appreciated as I am trying to get this thing finished for the putt putt regatta at Davistown etc.
