Haven't seen anything like it up here. Do you know if the 'head' is a separate piece from the cylinder casting? Looks like an early style base casting.

Wow ! The last time I saw a hat like that was the 70'-80's Rock band "DEVO". Their Chart topping single was "Whip It " ?
This one after some searching gets entered into my unknown file as "The Devo Single "
