I hope this is an easy one for you. These engines are in a 48' boat from 1926. They may have been the replacement for the original gas engines that the boat came with.
Can you tell me what model they are?
Thank you,
Ryan

Is there any nameplate data on the engine? Buda made a lot of different models of 6 cylinder inline diesels.

Any idea what year those engine were installed?

The Boat is in San Francisco and I am in Southern California. I wont be up to see the boat again for a few weeks and wanted to do a little research on the engines.
I do have a few more photos I could post that might help.

Your engines have the old style heads and oil filter. When allis bought buda in the fiftys they started redesigning the engines useing heads with the injectors pointing down. Lots of the budas i have seen that were sold by other companys do not have good markings on them. They can be hard to id. You can get the numbers off the injector pump and get a injector pump repair place to look them up for you.

Have you tried looking up the boat in an old Lloyds Register? They post the engine details.
