I recently investigated a shipwreck site with an early marine engine. It has the shaft and a 1 meter diameter screw propellor connected. Due to the corrosion of the metal and extremely low visibility, no markings and few features are discernable. However, based on the 1 meter diameter flywheel's position in the front of the block, the single cylinder (approximately 50cm in diameter and 1.4 meters in height) and an artifact that looks suspiciously like a blow lamp, I'm guessing that this is a hot bulb engine. Historical research has given one possibility, that of a Scandia 80bhp engine. Does anyone have any information about or pics of these engines? Any help will be much appreciated.

You can try doing a search on Scandia marine engines
on You Tube.
You'll see if there are similarities.
