The single cyl Detroit started on the second pull and runs darn well. Could use a load on the prop to tune the mixer but all is well. Now I'm going to need a muffler since the exhaust through 2' of 1 1/2" pipe sounds like a rapid fire shot gun. Anyone have design ideas for a water cooled muffler? I have access to good machining and welding capability so a commplex design would not be a problem. Going to build Atkin's "Bagaduce" as a home for the engine so exact fitting of the muffler will have to wait installation in the boat which is a few months off at a minimum.
