Bob Legnon bought a Gilmore 2 cylinder like mine, less the timer. I had some timers cast using mine for a pattern. The castings looked a little rough but Bob did a beautiful job on the machine work, hard to tell the difference. I'll try posting some pictures and have question about the timer. Thehandle plunges in and out, 1/4 turn locks it in. The brass part that locks it in is insulated. There is nothing on the timer for the brass to contact, but I think there was a leaf held on by an insulated washer and screw. This would allow it to ground when extended and break connction when pushed in, killing the engine. The terminals on each side of the terminal are grounded to the engine by a rotating brush, so it would have to be the engine ground wire that was connected to this. Does anyone have a timer set up like this, or have any thoughts on it?
