Hello,
I'm restoring a Watkins 3hp two cycle single cylinder engine. Does anyone have any info on this make of engine? The remains of the ignition system is left on the crankcase but the lever has been cut off about two inches from the crank. Anyone have any pictures of an original?
The flywheel boss has a piece missing where a crack formed from the keyway. A repair band has been shrunk on. A small lobe has been welded on one spot of the band. This I presume is for the ignition pick up for a buzz coil.
What plug shold I use and what ratio of fuel to oil is needed? Engine no is 421.
Thanks,
Nick.

Haven't found a good photo ad as yet, this is 1911 and typical of ads I have found - not very detailed. Trying to find one with a view of the water pump that your engine is missing !

Hi Nick,
I am posting a picture of a two cylinder like the one in Richards Ad. I can take better pictures and email them.
