I have an Evinrude inboard, two cylinders (separate), with serial number DD65758. I have the flywheel (although one of the two lobes of the 'cam' has been ground off!?) but, most importantly, the magneto in its entirety is missing. I am hoping someone might be able to tell me about the magneto part - does anyone have any ideas about what might fit into this flywheel? I read in an earlier post that the mag from a 1926 Evinrude model N (Sportwin? or Sport Twin?) outboard would fit….does anyone know for sure?...or possibly any of the N series from 1923 to 1928? The distance between the two curved magnets in the interior of the flywheel is about 6 ¼ inches. I am also missing the whole exhaust manifold, so of course I am on the lookout for that as well.

I thank you in advance for any possible help you can provide.

Best regards,

Dick Briggs

Thank you both very much; I will follow up on these suggestions. Does anyone know the date of manufacture - or where I could find it?
Thanks again, Dick
