Scott, I can't date it, does it have a cast iron water pump? I've seen a few of them, just wondering if that ties it to a brass shortage, possibly WWI.

Hi Scott, check the fly wheel for a serial #. What kind of carb, and do you have the air intake system. John Davis has a ton of info on Detriot engines on his web site. Check it out.
