Hello All,

The attached picture is a rod off an early 30's Invincible which I believe was made in the US.

The rod is marked Baush AH-25 and is made of aluminium (described as duralium in an add I have).

I've had the engine for several years but unfortunately the big end cap is missing which is the only real thing stopping me from getting this engine going.

I know that I can get one made up, however I suspect this rod was also used in other engines and may be a "standard" part, the piston is. So it might be easier trying to find another rod.

The rod is quite large with the big end dia being @2 1/4 inches and a length between centers of @9 inches.

Any leads are most appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Mark S.

Thanks Ernie,

Seems this is a good call, Invincible did sell Wisconsin engines for stationary use. I always thought that the engine was industrial with the addition of a water cooled manifold, water pump and bolt on engine mounts.

The bore and stroke match at least one engine model and date range I found on this page http://www.wisconsinmotorscanada.ca/wspecsoldmodels.html

So i'll do some digging and let you know the outcome.

Cheers,

Mark S.

Can you post pics of your engine?
Thanks

My 1925 Franklin automobile has a "duraluminum" rod marked "Baush" and looks just like the one in the photo. What is the pin diameter?

Yes I'll get some pictures, I'm about to leave for the airport and won't be back for a couple of days. So I'll post them then.

The pin dia is @9/16'

Rendo,

Growing up we had a 1928 Franklin. What a beauty.

Hi John, I'm crazy about Franklins. Here is a shot of our '12. Snowy day with the Torpedo
