This is a little off topic but maybe someone out there can help me. Trying to do some more research on Detroit Engine Works and related companies. Is there anyone out there that has a Michigan library card? That might be willing to help me. I'm trying to find access to the Sanborn fire insurance maps for Detroit city back in the early 1900's. The Michigan libraries want around a $100 dollars or more to get a out of state library card. More then I want to spend for something I would probably only use a few times through my computer, being that I live in Florida. Please click on my username and email me if you think you might be able to help. Thank you.

Search for Scott Peters on this site, He is an historian for the state of Michigan and can probably help with your quest.
