Erd, Acadia and many others actuall did this with a single carb.

Interesting post, I would think it would have been a little more than an average boat owner would want to tackle, with the multi carbs, a lot of adjusting everytime you came to idle. Below is a link to the discussion on the Mohawk 2-3 port.
