Ernie

This makes my day!

New Bedford Textile Machine Company has been in my list but Have never seen an ad or a photo of one Their T & W marine engines, and this post is an actual engine with a manufacturers tag- WoW !

This is 1903 Article

nb03

July of 1905 New Bedford Gas Engine Co. became the successor of The N.B.Textile Machine Co.and continued to make the T & W engines.

NBG05

1906 ad

NB06

The New Bedford Gas Engine Co. engines had six flat spokes in flywheel !

The earlier New Bedford Textile Machine engines appear to have a solid flywheel ?

Appreciate your posting this Old Marine Engine
it adds to our engine history as well as the history of this old New England Whaling town !

IF you look close at the last pic you can see the flywheel is solid. Sorry but couldn't get a good front shot. Maybe on my next visit to where it is
