I have been rebuilding this Albin twin over the last couple of months. Fortunately everything seems to be in reasonable condition. They don't seem to be a common engine here in Australia.
If all goes well it is destined for a 18' clinker that I hope to start work on next year.
I stripped off everything removable, freed up stuck valves, cleaned and reassembled with new gaskets.
The magneto was a little troublesome but after a lot of cleaning seems to be ok.
All that remains is to set the timing and plumb in the fuel.

A few queries though.
1. As can be seen in the photos, the breather holes in the oil filler cap have been filled. I can clean them out easily, but why would this have been done?
2. The manifold has been rebuilt and in the process the inlet just before the exhaust flange has been positioned on the bottom instead of the top. I assume this is plumbed to the top of the head. As this makes it more difficult to connect, again, why has this been done?
3. When the thermostat opens, water is able to flow through the engine rather than through the above mentioned bypass. Does it do this of it's own accord, or is there something that stops it flowing through the bypass?
4. The inside of the magneto has been cleaned out but I didn't remove the coil. I would like to but have a memory of reading somewhere not to do this lightly. Is there anything to watch out for?
5. There is a dynastart to be fitted but I plan to leave this for the present. Will it hand start ok on the bench?

Thanks, Mark

Thanks for the link.
I think I have the English version of this document. and it is quite detailed and informative. Unfortunately the queries above are not covered.

Cheers, Mark

I've been in contact with them to get gaskets and with a query about magneto parts (no reply yet to the latter).
I figured that the other queries were related to the use of the engine and were not necessarily specific to this brand or model.
